A man who lived in a block of apartments thought it was raining and put his head out the window to check. As he did so a glass eye fell into his hand.

He looked up to see where it came from in time to see a young woman looking down.

                    "Is this yours?" he asked.

She said, "Yes, could you bring it up?" and the man agreed.

On arrival she was profuse in her thanks and offered the man a drink. As she was very attractive he agreed. Shortly afterwards she said, "I'm about to have dinner. There's plenty. Would you like to join me?"

He readily accepted her offer and both enjoyed a lovely meal. As the evening was drawing to a close the lady said, "I've had a marvelous evening. Would you like to stay the night?"

The man hesitated then said, "Do you act like this with every man you meet?"

"No," she replied, "Only those who catch my eye."

Good morning teachers and fellow students. Today we would like to introduce a few favorite books to you.

My favorite book is (Italian: Cuore). This is a diary written by an Italian boy Enrico. The diary is about his life and study. It included various touching stories that happened around Enrico, the mottos taught by his parents, as well as the wonderful ten monthly stories told by his teacher during the class. Every word in the chapter describes the word love. From patriotism to friendship, and to the love between parents and child -- really touching.

This novel taught me how to love, and how to learn from love. I really like this book very much. How about you? What is your favorite book?

My favorite book is . Have you read it before?

Oh, I haven’t read this book before. What is it about?

Well, it is a story of a rich girl who maintained her noble character after the bankruptcy of her father. The story is happy ending.

Can you tell us why you love this book so much?

Sure. It is because the story taught us to be brave and to face the challenges and difficulties with courage. I am deeply impressed by the strength and perseverance of the little princess in the story. I have decided to learn from her from now on.

Oh I see, the story sounds very good. I cannot wait to read this book as well.

And I know what you're thinking. You know, I'm up here bagging out inspiration, and you're thinking, "Jeez, Stella, aren't you inspired sometimes by some things?" And the thing is, I am. I learn from other disabled people all the time. I'm learning not that I am luckier than them, though.

I am learning that it's a genius idea to use a pair of barbecue tongs to pick up things that you dropped. (Laughter) I'm learning that nifty trick where you can charge your mobile phone battery from your chair battery. Genius. We are learning from each others' strength and endurance, not against our bodies and our diagnoses, but against a world that exceptionalizes and objectifies us. I really think that this lie that we've been sold about disability is the greatest injustice. It makes life hard for us. And that quote, "The only disability in life is a bad attitude," the reason that that's bullshit is because it's just not true, because of the social model of disability.

No amount of smiling at a flight of stairs has ever made it turn into a ramp. Never. (Laughter) (Applause) Smiling at a television screen isn't going to make closed captions appear for people who are deaf. No amount of standing in the middle of a bookshop and radiating a positive attitude is going to turn all those books into braille. It's just not going to happen.

you will no longer fear making new sounds, showing new facial expressions, using your body in new ways, approaching new people, and asking new questions. you will live every single day of your life with absolute passion, and you will show your passion through the words you speak and the actions you take. you will focus all your time and effort on the most important goals of your life. you will never succumb to challenges of hardships. you will never waver in your pursuit of excellence. after all,you are the best, and you deserve the best!

as your coach and friend, i can assure you the door to all the best things in the world will open to you, but the key to that door is in your hand. you must do your part, you must faithfully follow the plans you make and take the actions you plan, you must never quit, you must never fear. i know you must do it, you can do it, you will do it, and you will succeed!now stand firm and tall, make a fist, get excited, and yell it out: i must do it! i can do it! i will do it! i will succeed! i must do it! i can do it! i will do it! i will succeed! i must do it! i can do it! i will do it! i will succeed!

Nowadays, more and more graduate student step in society to find a satisfied job. At the same time, we have a serious problem. When these students were finding jobs, the male were easier to get a job than the female.

Now the discrimination in employment became a common phenomenon. Even the tall educational background daughter graduate student is also very difficult to find the good job.

In my opinion, the phenomenon should be eliminated. Maybe many things which need much physical strength to finish. In this aspect, male should be more popular than female. But in many other aspects, female shouldn’t be discriminated. Because female could do many things which men could do . As far as we know, the female’s IQ don’t be lower than man. So these employing units shouldn’t discriminate female. Contrary, the woman more careful than many male person . In some aspects, woman more acuter than man.

Generally speaking, female should get the same treat as male.

My speech is over. Thank you.

verytime I am asked what I want to do in the future。 I think a minute and say being a doctor is my dream job。

Doctor is an other kind of artist who does human art by fighting with diseases and making people feel good。 I think it is a pleasure to try my best to bring happiness to others。 It is a feeling of pride and I am fond of it。 In modern life, a mass of people work day and night to seek wealth and as a result they ignore their health。 It is known that strong body is a foundation of beatific life。 I dreamed to be an excellent doctor who can help them have a right to enjoy life again。 Curing people is a doctor's holy responsibility。

Being a doctor is my dream job, now I should study hard to gain more knowledge to reach my goal。

                    good afternoon everybody!

its my honor to speak here and i am very glad to share my topic with all of you. today id like to talk about “my dream”. i do not just have one dream, in fact, i have three. they are: a healthy life, a happy family and to travel my great country.

i have always admired the long healthy life my grandparents have. they are older than 80 years of age and they are still alive and kicking! how do they do that!? my grandparents plant vegetables and grow rice themselves; even in their old age they still make food for themselves! i guess that is why they can remain healthy. more importantly they remain humble and never ask for too much from life. perhaps that makes them common, but they live a happy life. my grandmother once told me this:” i do not want to live long, only long enough for some grand children to be running around in my house”. i want to live a long, healthy and happy life just as they have.

since my graduation from primary school, until now, every time on my birthday i make the same wish. i wish my parents will not fight anymore. i am not complaining that they gave me a bad childhood, they just fight so much! i am unhappy but that does not mean they do not love me. they do! they love me with all their heart. i love my parents also; i want them to live a happy life as well.

i want to travel this great country of ours. i want to see the beauty of our country. i want to see the miracles that made this country great! i want to go from the east to west, from the north all the way down to the south! i have a dream, that one day i can travel and see my country with my family and friends! if that is not possible, seeing my country on my own is good enough also. if i can fulfill all three of my dreams in life, then god can take me away. i would be happy, and l would have lived a full and prosperous life.

thank you everyone for listening to my dreams.

                    i thank you!

                    Hello everyone!

i am happy to join with you today in what will go down in history as thegreatest demonstration for freedom in the history of our nation.

five score years ago, a great american, in whose symbolic shadow we standtoday, signed the emancipation proclamation.this momentous decree came as agreat beacon light of hope to millions of negro slaves who had been seared inthe flames of withering injustice.it came as a joyous daybreak to end the longnight of their captivity.

but one hundred years later, the negro still is not free.one hundred yearslater, the life of the negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles ofsegregation and the chains of discrimination.one hundred years later, the negrolives on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of materialprosperity.one hundred years later, the negro is still languished in thecorners of american society and finds himself an exile in his own land.and sowe've come here today to dramatize a shameful condition.

in a sense we've come to our nation's capital to cash a check.when thearchitects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the constitution andthe declaration of independence, they were signing a promissory note to whichevery american was to fall heir.this note was a promise that all men, yes, black men as well as white men, would be guaranteed the "unalienable rights" of"life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." it is obvious today that americahas defaulted on this promissory note, insofar as her citizens of color areconcerned.instead of honoring this sacred obligation, america has given thenegro people a bad check, a check which has come back marked "insufficientfunds."

                    Thank you!

ndy shop of my own .But now ,when I am 16 years old ,standing here ,my dreams have already changed a lot.

I have got quite different experience from other girls. While they were playing toys at home, while they were dreaming to be the princesses in the story .I was running in the hard rain, jumping in the heavy snow, pitching in the strong wind.Nothing could stop me ,because of a wonderful call from my heart -- to be an athlete.Yeah ,of course ,I'm an athlete,I'm so proud of that all the time .

When I was 10 years old ,I became a shot-put athlete. The training was really hard ,I couldn't bear the heavy shot in my hands .But I always believe that "god only help those who help themselves".During those hard days,I find I was growing more quickly than others of the same age.To be an athlete is my most correct choice. But,I quit my team after entering high school because of a silly excuse.I really didn't want to stop my sports career anyway.

Today I say to you my friends that even though I must face the difficulties of yesterday ,today and tomorrow .I still have a dream .It is a dream deeply rooted in my soul.

I have a dream that one day ,I can run, jump and pitch just like I used to be.

I have a dream that one day , I can go back to my dream sports and join the national team.

I have a dream that one day ,I can stand on the highest place at the olympic games. With all the cameras pointing at me.I will tell everyone that I'm so proud to be a Chinese athlete!

This is my hope .This is the faith that I continue my steps with!!!

With this faith ,I will live though the strong wind and heavy rain ,never give up !

So let victory ring from my heart, from all of you. When we allow victory to ring .I must be the one!

In my imagination,I'm a bird ,a magical bird.I carry my dreams all with me by my big wings. I fly though the mountains ,though the forests ,over the sea,to the sun ,the warmest place in the aerospace!

                    Every night ,I have a dream ,I see a girl ---smiling~
