從高考看中國高校的“不良性”競爭

　　大樓不是大學的名片，高分生源也并非高校競爭力的核心。高水平的競爭呼喚高質量的標準、有境界的追求

　　日前，教育部發出通知，要求今年普通高校招生錄取嚴格執行政策，再次明確不得在錄取工作結束前，以“簽訂預錄取協議”“新生高額獎學金”“入校后重新選擇專業”等方式惡性搶奪生源。隨著各省市逐步進入高考錄取招生階段，劃定這些“規矩”紅線，向惡性競爭說不，對于確保錄取的公平與秩序，很有必要。

　　每逢高考季，高校之間的比拼與較量，常常成為社會話題。某種意義上，高等教育的發展，大學的進步，本身就是競爭的結果。尤其是，高考之后吸引優質生源，讓天下英才盡可能“入吾彀中”，增強社會影響力和美譽度，這些現實的利益驅動，讓很多高校難以淡定。一個“爭”字，也就明里暗里地在象牙塔下書寫開來。

　　然而，近期發生的一些高校之間的“爭端”，卻讓人覺出一種異樣的味道。有爭好生源的——為了招到“狀元”，北大、清華的四川招生組不惜在微博上掐架、揭短，引得眾人一邊“圍觀”一邊嘆息。有爭好名頭的——為了“川醫”之稱，瀘州醫學院和四川大學鬧得不可開交;為了“南大”之名，南京大學和南昌大學互不相讓。“別把正劇搞成鬧劇”“傷了和氣，失了身份”……從網友的評論中，不難看出人們對這些變味的高校之爭的態度。高校競爭，如何才能步入良性軌道?

　　公平的競爭，規則與底線是生命。近年來，一些名校在招生中進行“掐尖戰”，各地的高考“狀元”更是炙手可熱。為了把優質生源搶到手，一些高校只顧目的不顧手段，或讓考生“先上車后買票”，或以重金吸引，或許以優厚條件，或派專車直接上門“搶人”，這些做法違背了招錄政策，也突破了錄取公平的底線，導致種種招生亂象。沒有規則的競爭之下，最終誰也不是贏家。今年年初，教育部針對往年招生的問題，頒布了“26條禁令”;這回重申禁令，接下來關鍵是有令必行、有禁必止，對違規行為零容忍、敢于動真格，杜絕破窗效應，才能做到錄取“零點招”、計劃“零突破”，在有序中實現公平的競爭。

　　高水平的競爭，呼喚高質量的標準，有境界的追求。不管是爭考高分的狀元，還是爭一個響亮的簡稱，這些努力不能說毫無價值，但如果以“大學之道”的視野、立德樹人的胸懷來瞭望，很多的“爭”則過于功利、過于浮躁，與大學精神格格不入。梅貽琦先生說：“所謂大學者，非謂有大樓之謂也，有大師之謂也。”現在，高校的評價體系也在走向多元化，好比大樓不是大學的名片，高分生源也并非高校競爭力的核心。招了一堆狀元、搶了一個好名稱，這些只是“面子”，高校的競爭力還得看“里子”厚不厚：從師資隊伍到教學水平，從校園文化到創新活力，以及無可替代、不可復制的辦學風格。

　　“世界上不會有第二個哈佛、牛津、斯坦福、麻省理工、劍橋，但會有第一個北大、清華、浙大、復旦、南大等中國著名學府”，經過歲月的汰洗、競爭的挑選，那些卓然而立的名校，從不會迷失自己、丟失特色，而是沉著地做精神的堅守者，勇毅地做思想的開拓者。不尚名利，但求真理，唯有高揚這樣的價值取向，高校的發展生態才會得到凈化，良性競爭的土壤才能廣泛生長。

　　有這樣一個段子。“北大距離世界名校有多遠?”“出東門左轉直行200米即是。”“清華距離世界名校有多遠?”答案則是“出西門左轉直行200米”。雖然不無調侃意味，但互為隔壁鄰居的北大、清華，其競爭關系可見一斑。實際上，在同一所城市或相距不遠的名校，或者實力相當的名校，難免會有“瑜亮情結”，會有爭強好勝的心理，這種“同城德比”現象，國外也普遍存在，如哈佛與耶魯、牛津與劍橋。有道是“文無第一，武無第二”，高校之間的競爭故事還將演繹下去。其精彩與否，可以借用北大、清華校園里流傳甚廣的兩個“名句”來觀察——一曰兼容并包，二曰厚德載物。(塔元培)
