下面我們將引言部分的寫作，引言釋意為introduction。
2.1引言是學術論文寫作的起始部分，是論文的導語，也是對全文結構內容的總體規劃。一個好的引言能夠引人入勝，激起同行甚至一些非專業人士對文章的閱讀興趣，因而，引言是學術寫作中的一個重要部分，也是最難寫的部分之一。所以如果想要寫好引言，首先要開門見山，不繞圈子。第二要言簡意賅，第三回顧歷史要有重點，第四尊重科學實事求是。第五就是前言的內容部應該與摘要相同。

If you want to write the preface, the first thing is to clarify the goals and tasks of this part of writing. Simple and clear explanation of the author of the study. The purpose of the work scope the theoretical basis research methods. experimental design. expect results meaning and so on. Now pay attention to the following five points. First, come to the point ,do not beat around the bush. Second concise and comprehensive Third, review the history and the focus of attention, Forth respect for science, seek truth from facts, Fifth the content should not be the same with the summary.
2.2引言部分的功能室引導讀者對作者所研究的領域從概括性了解深入到具體問題，引言的導航作用體現在要讓讀者理解作者的寫作目的，以及論文將要涉及的范圍，理解當前研究的課題的意義和價值。

第十二、十三頁課文
我們之前說過了，Swales講引言的寫作分為三個部分，即確立研究領域、建立研究空間以及填補研究空間，那么下面我們結合一個具體實例來對Swales的所提出的步驟進行感知與認識。
首先請同學們看一下文章每段的首尾句。我們知道，英文寫作中都會有總結性的話語，所以，我們通過首尾句可以對文章整體結構以及內容有一個初步的了解。
（看完之后開始說明）
因為第一段較短且只有四句話，所以我們可以對這段進行通讀，同時可以對整個文章的展開理解有個初步的構思。（根據Swales提出的理論以及我們的閱讀），我們可以確定第一段主要講的是“確立研究領域”這個部分，第1句首先提出一個現象，那么我們可以知道文章所要提出的“議題”與“stall”（這個詞的意義我們目前還看不出，可以通過深入的閱讀來確定）。第2句進一步對“stall”這個詞所表示的現象做了解釋說明。第3句講述了這個現象的危害，第4句說明了由于這種現象的出現對于飛行員有什么要求。通過這四句的分析我們可以知道第一段主要是要介紹研究背景。
對于第二段與第三段的首句，兩段開頭都同Stewart的設計有關。通過第二段的首末句我們可以看出，本段主要是要介紹由于第一段所介紹的問題而產生的解決方案。所以，第二段是屬于“回顧已取得的研究成果”這個步驟。第三段首句則是進一步介紹了Stewart的設計，然而通過最后一局我們發現，作者改進了Stewart的發明（同時也說明說明了作者研究基礎）。于是我們可以說這段的內容前后所說的東西具有“前進性”或是“發展性”的。我們通過對于第21句的分析，可以做出如下推理，作者之所以對前人的設計進行Developed，原因可以是：前人研究有缺陷。于是我們可以通過進一步的閱讀來證實我們的推理。（發現，15到18句是說先前研究成果的缺點，19句-20句則是介紹了前人的解決方案。最后22句提出作者的想法）。于是第三段兼有“確立研究領域”和“建立研究空間”的內容。
第四段．首句總說了作者的設計的作用，并在接下來進行了舉例。（in real-time interaction、a generic controller、in some industrial applications、in aerospace applications、a superior control performance compared to the no-information control），之后在28句中出現了however，可以得知這之后與之前所說的東西出現了不同，通過對28、29、30句的閱讀，我們可以得知其所介紹的是作者的設計的目的。
通過對第五段首句，我們可以很容易的得知本段主要介紹的是作者文章的結構。
背景現象——前人解決方法——發現問題——提出問題——概述目的——介紹結構
于是，我們可以對這個實例Swales的理論進行了一個實際感知。

句11-13介紹科研論文的結構
第十一句說，我們開始簡單總結一下這個地區土地利用和生態環境的歷史。第十二句說，然后我們來討論一下導致野生動物數量下降的因素以及現在乃至將來野生保護面臨的挑戰。第十三句說，最后，我們來總結一下通過這個地區野生動物的保護能給我們哪些啟示。
引言部分的句型特征
引言部分是學術論文正文的起始之處，是對全文的簡單介紹和總體認知，所以它有兩大點要求，即簡潔和準確。因此它的語言必須也是簡潔和準確的。簡潔指的就是語言要直截了當，詞語要樸實無華；準確指的是邏輯上要嚴密和清楚。
這兩大點要求表現在句型上，總體可概括為陳述句為主，祈使、疑問等句型為輔，即少用或不用；同樣的，表現在用詞上，是要用準確的但易理解的詞語，除非必要不必過多使用高難度的專業詞匯；而表現在時態上，是應多使用主動語態，使讀者知道是這是出自作者自己的論據和研究。
下面來詳細講解一下引言部分的句型使用.
按引文內容大致可分為5種句型：
1.本領域學術研究綜述，意在讓讀者知道論文產生的背景。

2.敘述前人所進行的有關研究內容,即著作與文獻的回顧。

3.用于表達已有研究的空白以及對已有研究的質疑和批評的常用方式。
這一部分主要是在論文的寫作中，在表示已有的研究的空白時，即表示已有的研究不夠充分、問題未能解決時以及對已有的研究的質疑和批評時，即用于表達早期研究所具有的缺陷時要用到的表達方式，通常會使用一些具有轉折意義的詞匯來進行前后銜接，如：however，but，although，while，nevertheless等。當然還可以采用其他的表示不確定的詞來表示對有研究的質疑與批評，這里就不一一舉例了。下面結合一個例句給大家分析一下這種表達方式
Eg：It has been argued that the piloerector effect does not involve sympathetic nerves, but some other unknown nervous elements.
在這個句子中出現了兩處表示對已有研究的質疑與批評的地方，分別是It has been argued that和unknown，表示對這項研究有質疑。
4.用于表達當前研究課題的目的、意義的常用方式。
這一部分主要是指在論文的寫作中，在表示論文研究課題的目的和意義所是有的表達方式，主要包括論文的研究目的、策略以及論文的設計。常見的用于表達研究課題目的和意義的詞匯主要有：intention，purpose，reveal等。下面結合一個例句給大家分析一下這種表達
Eg：The purpose of the experiment will determine sample size and design.
在這個例句中使用了The purpose of來表示研究課題的目的。
2.3.3 引言部分的時態和語態
2.3.3.1引言部分的時態
A.在學術論文寫作中，通常用一般現在時來陳述普遍接受的事實或真理。
例如：little is known about sth.
需要注意的是，有時作者認為的某個研究發現是事實，便可以用一般現在時來表述，并注明一定的文獻。
a.如果作者需要用paper，report，theses 或dissertation，表示論文提供資料的行為，重點在于介紹新的技術和方法、分析某個問題或提出某個論據，論文所提供資料的行為不受時間的影響，它們不受時間的影響，所以通常用一般現在時，如：In this paper,we employ automata to formalize the behavior of web services.
b.如果作者采用 study，research，investigation或experiment 等來介紹研究活動，重點在于提出某個調查或實驗結果，因居中所涉及的是已發生的動作行為，因而多使用一般過去時。
如：The purpose of the experiment reported here was to investigate the effects of oxymatrine on human hepatoma cells...
需要注意的是：如果作者描述的是特定研究領域中最近的某種趨勢，或強調某些最近發生的事件對現在的影響，常采用現在完成時，如：few studies have been done on sth.
C.作者在引言中還比較謙虛或試探性態度來指出自己的研究價值，其中常用助動詞may , should, could 等。
B：在最后一部分，簡單描述論文的結構時，可以使用一般現在時，或一般將來時。
例如：P28頁例子。
2.3.3.2 引言部分的語態
引言中會涉及We 和I 的問題，用We時來提及作者的研究團隊但不可泛指人類群體。如果需要，最好用被動結構的句子。It is known /thought that ....尤其是中心的報告部分（We conducted, was designed等）
因為英語中的I具有主觀性比較強，因此要慎用。可以用here和in this paper 這樣的方式表達。另外為了避免歧義，還可以用This article/the present paper 用來代替I 和We.
例如：This article /paper describes and discusses some of the insurance activities of exempt organizations.

With a history of more than 400 years, Shanghai cuisine is the youngest among the major regional cuisines in China.
