北京時間2017年9月5日晚，泰晤士高等教育(Times Higher Education)發布了最新2017-2018年度Times世界大學排名。
本次排名包含了來自77個國家和地區的1000所院校。英國牛津大學和劍橋大學分別位居第1名和第2名，這是THE大學排名發布以來，首次英國兩所大學雄踞二甲，帝國理工學院位居第8名。美國加州理工、斯坦福、MIT、哈佛、普林斯頓和芝加哥大學這6所大學位列前十強的榜單中。中國大陸地區，清華大學和北京大學進入前100，分別是第28和30名。中國香港地區港大第40名，港科大第44名，港中文第58名。
THE今年的排名算法與去年保持一致，2017泰晤士高等教育大學排名五大指標及其占比：教學(學習環境) ：30%；研究(論文發表數量、收入和聲譽) ：30%；引文(研究影響)：30%；國際展望(工作人員、學生和研究)：7.5%；產業收入(知識轉移)：2.5%.
