2、對于學習態度不端正的“學困生”，這類學生很多，首先要對他們進行理想教育，增強他們的使命感和責任感，同時要使他們認識到學習英語的重要性。其次，要培養他們的自主自立意識，學好英語是自己的事，是“我要學”，而不是教師家長“要我學”。只有端正學習態度，認真學習，才能實現自我的人生價值。對這類學生制定目標，要求要低一點，以激勵他們的斗志，只要是他們自己能力水平所達到的都要表揚鼓勵。
3、對于學習習慣和學習方法不好的“學困生”，在班級中也不占少數，平時要加強英語學習方法的指導。培養“學困生”學習技能的關鍵：一是幫助“學困生”掌握最基本的學習方式，如學會閱讀、寫作、制訂學習計劃、使用教科書、安排學習與娛樂，并養成合理的作息習慣等；二是注意加強和指導“學困生”學習技能訓練，在教學中有計劃、有針對性地強化其掌握、運用、鞏固應掌握的學習方法，并及時檢查和反饋，逐步提高“學困生”學習的有效性。因此，課堂上，老師要要求他們跟著老師“轉”，盯緊老師，集中注意力。指導他們加強有意記憶，努力把剛學過的知識“匯”的腦子里，融入到原有的知識塊中去。指導他們強化復習，回憶、鞏固學過的知識，使他們養成自覺學習的習慣。
4、對于英語知識上有缺陷的學生，要克服“學困生”知識上的缺陷。首先要查明“學困生”知識缺陷的性質和程度及原因，可借助教師的日常提問、作業分析、課堂反饋、個人訪問、診斷性測驗、等方法來實現，防止知識上出現新的“空白點”。
5、對于性格內向的“學困生”，我們要仔細觀察，探索他們的內心世界，找到突破口，對癥下藥，我們在英語教學中要真誠地愛護他們，信任他們，努力培養他們的自信心。因為自信心是克服自卑、取得成功的鑰匙，而且自信心能增強學習英語的動力，可以增強記憶力。
三、對所有的學困生，都要真正的愛他們。
1、積極主動與他們交流，及時了解他們的思想，從心理上指導、幫助和鼓勵他們，使他們感到老師在關心和愛護自己。
2、通過家訪，打電話等多種方式與家長溝通交流，爭取家長的支持與配合，在家督促孩子讀書、聽錄音、記單詞等。
3、幫助他們與優秀同學建立良好的學習伙伴關系。
四、逐步培養他們的學習興趣，提高他們學習的積極性，學習方法上作具體指導。
1、用分類法把本學期要求掌握的“四會”詞分成幾大類。如：動物類、花草、樹木、月份、季節、序數詞、國名、國籍、交通工具等，指導他們讀、背、記憶單詞，教給他們以舊帶新法、遷移法等方法記憶單詞。
2、輔導他們把課文讀通、讀懂、讀流利。
3、指導他們把課文中出現的重點句型找出來，熟讀這些句型，記住一些句子的固定搭配。
4、通過簡單的口頭和筆頭練習逐步提高他們運用英語的能力。
